
Queen Mary 2, the most expensive luxury ocean liner built so far, on its arrival at to Kochi on Saturday early morning with 2,620 passengers on board as part of its 2013 World Voyage.
Luxury liner Queen Mary 2, one of the world’s largest ocean liners, called at the port here today with 2,471 passengers.
The ship reached here from Abu Dhabi and will sail for Colombo this evening, port sources said.
There are 1,245 crew members in the Cunard Line’s transatlantic ocean liner.
The passengers alighted and visited the nearby tourist spots like Fort Kochi and Mattancherry before going for a backwater cruise in Alappuzha.
The ocean liner has 15 restaurants and bars, five swimming pools, a casino, ballroom, theatre and the first planetarium on sea.
