Pandrol Rahee Technologies has established a new manufacturing plant in Hyderabad for the production of rail fastenings.

Pandrol Rahee Technologies, a joint venture between Pandrol, a leader in elastic rail fastenings, aluminothermic welding and other rail infrastructure products and Rahee Group, a railway infrastructure construction company and manufacturer of railway track products,

The new 3,500 sq. m facility is expected to produce 4 million clips per year mainly for the Indian rail market. This includes an automated clip manufacturing line that incorporates an advanced coating technology process.

The plant will produce, amongst other types, advanced Pandrol solutions, that combines systems for high speed, heavy haul and long life durability fastenings.

It will also give the company greater capacity to respond to market requirements while creating new employment in the region and supporting the ‘Make in India’ initiative.

Arvind Kumar, Principal Secretary, Telangana inaugurated the facility.

Pradeep Khaitan, MD, Pandrol Rahee Technology said, “The factory already has a healthy pipeline of projects in Indian Metro and track rehabilitation in Bangladesh and Ghana where Indian finance is being used. The first railway to be built in Mauritius by L&T will also feature rail clips manufactured at the Hyderabad factory.

Pandrol Rahee Technologies was established in 2005 and supplies resilient fastening system for Ballastless track and metros. The new factory is expected to produce rail fasteners for Metro, Heavy Haul and High Speed projects.

In addition, Pandrol has an existing facility in Raipur, which manufactures aluminothermic welding equipment and a comprehensive range of light track machines.
