Paradip Port Trust (PPT) has donated Rs 50 lakh to the Orissa Chief Minister's Relief Fund to provide succour to the flood-affected people. The PPT Chairman, Mr G.J. Rao, handed over the cheque to the Chief Minister, Mr Naveen Patnaik, a statement issued by the company said.
PPT is assisting in the flood-hit areas of Jagatsinghpur and Kendrapara districts by distributing food materials, conducting health check-ups and supplying medicines, the statement said.
It also provided relief material to the affected people at Gop area in Puri district during the recent floods, the statement said.
