Cities close to the national capital could soon be connected by helicopter services. This follows the State-owned Pawan Hans Helicopter Ltd (PHHL) planning services from Delhi to several nearby cities, including Vrindavan and Mathura. A technical team of the helicopter operator recently visited the two cities and had discussions on the helipad sites, security, passengers facilitation among others. PHHL would soon hold discussions with the Uttar Pradesh Government for necessary support, an official statement issued here on Thursday said. Muzaffarnagar, Meerut, Mathura and Agra too are being considered for connecting them with national capital, and survey and feasibility study of these cities are being planned, it added.
