A minor tussle at Chennai airport involving Air India officials delayed the departure of Chennai-Paris AI 143 by nearly two hours.
An Air India pilot had allegedly assaulted an engineer inside the cockpit over an argument. After the incident, the pilot locked himself inside the cockpit and refused to come out, sources said.
The injured engineer was taken to the nearby hospital with a bleeding nose.
Sources said engineers protested for taking action against the pilot, including FIR.
