The Cabinet has deferred the Forward Contract Regulation Bill for the third time. However, this time TMC cannot be blamed as the food and consumer affairs minister KV Thomas was not present. He is not well.
The Cabinet has cleared street vendor Bill. It provides protection to street vendors and rights of the pedestrian. This Bill is scheduled to be introduced in this session.
The Centre has approved pruning of negative list for SAARC countries. This will facilitate trade particularly with Pakistan.
The Cabinet has also cleared amendment to a Bill which aims to regulate bribery by foreign companies.
