One person was injured after a major fire broke out today in the premises housing an IT company in Velachery, police said.
However, no casualty has been reported.
“A fire was reported at 12.30 pm in Velachery. It seems to have broken out from a generator that was in use. Five fire tenders have been pressed into service,” a fire official said.
A man was injured in the accident, and fire fighters are still trying to put out the fire, officials said.
Velachery in Chennai houses several IT and ITES companies.
