The West Bengal Chief Minister, Ms Mamata Banerjee, on Thursday took a dig at people for criticising the West Bengal’s Government's decision to felicitate the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for winning IPL-V.
According to Ms Banerjee, the entire felicitation programme was taken care of by the Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) — the city civic body — and the State Government had welcomed the team.
“The Kolkata Municipal Corporation has a programme for providing civic reception to reputed personalities and it was conducted under this programme,’’ she told reporters at Writers’ Buildings.
