Powergrid 100 per cent subsidiary Powergrid Southern Interconnector Transmission System Limited (PSITSL) has Commissioned a 400 kV Cuddapah Madhugiri Transmission System on Tuesday ahead of schedule. Power flow was around 500 MW.
In the last six years Powergrid and its subsidiaries have established more than 10 new 765/400 kV substations and strong high power capacity Inter Regional Corridors all ahead of schedule.
The Inter-Regional power flow which was 3800 MW is now 10000 MW. This has eased power situation in entire South Grid.
V Sekhar, Executive Director, Southern Region Transmission System-I (SRTS-I) said the ONE NATION ONE GRID was established in 2013. The project under execution in the Southern Region-I is a 765 kV Vemagiri- Chilkaluripeta- Cuddapah line of 4500 MW Capacity Corridor will enable drawal of power from Odisha. The 60000 MW Raigarg Pugalur HVDC is also progressing as per schedule upon completion will make power position in south very comfortable.
