Ms Marsha S. Ivins, former astronaut of National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), on Thursday said: "Space shuttle discovery" was bound to come to an end one day.
“We knew that the discovery space mission would come to an end. The day will come when the space shuttle will stop flying,” Ms Ivins told the media on the sidelines of her interaction with school and college students here.
“There will be newer vehicle and new missions. But, space missions are running short of funds,” she added. She is on a multi-city tour in India and going to Guwahati on Friday.
