The Textile Ministry said on Wednesday that it will undertake a survey of the powerloom industry in northern India.
The survey is meant to help the Government in getting a grasp of the latest developments in the powerloom industry in the northern India and in turn aid in formulation of policies to strengthen the sector, an official statement said.
The survey will be conducted by AC Nielsen ORG-MARG Pvt Ltd, it said.
The Ministry also urged all textile units as well as other stakeholders in the region to give the necessary data to AC Nielsen ORG-MARG.
