Electric motorcycle manufacturer Ultraviolette Automotive has expanded to the international market after launching two of its flagship motorcycles across 10 European nations - Germany, France, UK, Ireland, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxembourg.
Ultraviolette Automotive was founded in 2016, and their most recent models, the F77 MACH 2 and F77 SuperStreet are now available for purchase in Europe after they have been tested in some of Europe’s most demanding environments.
The company currently operates a pilot manufacturing facility in Bengaluru with a production capacity of 30,000 units annually and in order to facilitate international expansion, the company is planning to add manufacturing capacity to achieve an output of 3 lakh units annually by 2028.
Niraj Rajmohan, CTO & Co-founder of Ultraviolette, said “We set out with a bold ambition to build the most advanced electric motorcycle in the world. Today, we are delivering that vision to international customers.”
This global expansion has been in the works for two years, and the company is also in discussion with various State governments about setting up a large manufacturing unit for its upcoming products.
“We’ve already received inquiries from 190 countries—essentially, every country except five” Subramaniam has stated previously.
Last month, in May, it was announced that Ultraviolette Automotive raised ₹32.6 crore in an extended Series E1 round led by Winever Industrial Enterprises and Dilip Anand Swadi with the participation of Breathe Capital and others. Since its inception, Ultraviolette has raised ₹692 Crores in 14 rounds of funding, according to data from tracxn.
