A Special Court on Monday deferred to November 8 the hearing on the Janata Party President, Dr Subramanian Swamy's plea to make the Home Minister, Mr P. Chidambaram, a co-accused in the 2G spectrum case.
As the Special Court is currently busy with the bail pleas of many of the accused in the case, Dr Swamy agreed to the court's suggestion for hearing on his case to be adjourned to a later date.
Meanwhile, Dr Swamy's application for an investigation by the CBI into the alleged role of Mr Chidambaram is pending before the Supreme Court, which had on October 10 reserved its order in the case.
Mr Chidambaram was the Finance Minister in 2008 when the 2G spectrum was allocated during Mr A Raja's tenure as Telecom Minister.
