4G Identity Solutions is in the race for $50 million project in Kenya. “We are planning to focus on taking up overseas projects and the voter-identification project in Kenya is one of these endeavours,'' Dr Sreeni Tripuraneni, Chairman and Chief Executive of 4G Identity Solutions, told newspersons here on Wednesday.
The Hyderabad-based provider of biometric-based identity solutions in Bangladesh and other South African countries said the outcome in Kenya would be known by this month-end.
4G has also crossed the landmark of one crore in generation of unique identification (UID) or Aadhaar numbers.
It is currently engaged with various Registrars of the Aadhaar project, including State Bank of India, Union Bank of India, Department of Posts and Sikkim Government , Dr Tripuraneni said. The current order book of the company was at about Rs 300 crore. “Most of these orders are for civil identification projects and include AP State Data Centre project and Core Public Distribution System in Chhattisgarh,'' he said.
Turnover
The company is expecting to close the present financial year with a turnover of Rs 110 crore as against Rs 57 crore posted last year.
“Depending on our success in overseas biddings, we may go for initial public offering in 2013 to raise funds,'' Dr Tripuraneni said.
At present, 4G has about 2,000 employees in 12 States.
