Homeshopping platform STAR CJ Network launches mobile messaging service

Homeshopping platform STAR CJ Network India has launched a Mobile DM (Direct Message) Service for its customers.

The service is the brand’s first step towards establishing its presence on the m-commerce platform, the company said.

Mobile shopping has grown rapidly due to the enormous rise in smartphone users (estimated at 67 million in 2013).

Mobile DM will allow customers to shop from STAR CJ’s platforms at their convenience using smartphones and tablets. Currently, 36 per cent of customers shopping on STAR CJ’s platforms shop using their mobiles and tablets, contributing to 17 per cent of the revenue. The service will make it easy for customers to browse through the products on their phones and order their selection by calling on the STAR CJ toll free number – 1860-500-1860.

The mobile DM application has been developed by the company's IT team in South Korea and modified by the local technical team in line with the requirements of Indian customers.

The application will allow customers to browse through various product categories, watch product videos, zoom-in on product images and view product descriptions before making the purchase decision.
