Ittiam Systems, which has turned 10, said that it has deployed several media processing technologies for tablets and smartphones. Global Technology Ventures (GTV) and Bank of America Merrill Lynch have invested $13.5 million in the privately-held firm.
Mr Srini Rajam, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Ittiam Systems, said at a press briefing that the company may go public after a few years. Ittiam, which focuses on embedded systems in media processing and communication, has developed multimedia technology for 720p high-definition video player and camcorder functions, which are used by companies such as Archos, a maker of internet tablets.
