IT and product engineering services firm MindTree Ltd is scouting for engineering talent across colleges in tier-I, -II and -III cities in India.
The company is using adaptive assessment tool from Aspiring Minds, an employability solutions company, to standardise its hiring procedure beginning this month.
The candidates will be assessed on language, aptitude and functional skills through Aspiring Minds.
MindTree will use an objective pre-set quality benchmark which will define the skill set required for an engineer to perform well in IT services irrespective of college or location, the company said.
“There is a large pool of untapped talent in tier-II and -III cities which are not currently being tapped by large organisations,” Chief Operating Officer Parthasarathy N.S. said.
He said the company hired 3,009 employees last year from campuses and is expecting a similar number of engineers this year. It had 10,830 employees as of June 30.
