After a long wait of four years, Mahindra Satyam has announced a dividend of 30 per cent for the financial year 2012-13.
The company has stopped giving dividends from the financial year 2008-09 after it landed in a major financial scandal in January 2009.
The retail investors have been demanding the company to announce a dividend, particularly after the new management revived it and stabilised it. They made a vociferous demand for a dividend payout at the annual general meeting held in September last.
“We are announcing the dividend after four years as a symbolic completion of a turnaround journey,” Vineet Nayyar, Chairman, said.
