Group of Technology Companies (GTech), the industry body of IT & ITeS companies in Kerala, has announced new office-bearers for the next three years (2018-2020).

Alexander Varghese, Chief Administrative Officer and Country Head, UST Global, has been elected as the new Chairman and Dinesh Thampi, V-P & Delivery Centre Head, TCS Kerala, as Secretary.

On his new role, Varghese said that GTech is in the pursuit of creating the right ecosystem for IT/ITeS industries in Kerala.

GTech will continue to work with the State Government and other industry bodies to achieve this objective while focusing on creating a collaborative work culture with start-ups and SMEs. It has been instrumental in bringing key changes in the IT and ITeS community in the State.

GTech is the collaborative of information technology (IT) and business process management (BPM) organisations in the State. It provides the platform for domain and technology companies from across the world for enterprise and strategic alliances with member organisations.

It is also the reference point for the IT industry in the State and works alongside the State Government in promoting Kerala as an ideal IT/BPM destination, Varghese said.

It contributes, through various initiatives, to the overall welfare of entrepreneurs and professionals in the industry, enabling an ecosystem best suited for transformative and inclusive growth.

The industry proactively works towards the enhancement of social and economic development of all citizens, Varghese added. Founded in 2001 and formerly called as Group of Technopark Companies, GTech has built up a membership of 200 companies over the years.
