Telecom tower company GTL Infrastructure on Saturday widened its net loss at Rs 83.95 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2011, mainly on account of interest and finance charges.
The company had a net loss of Rs 19.32 crore during the April-June quarter of 2010, GTL Infrastructure said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
However, total income rose to Rs 140.51 crore during the quarter under review, compared to Rs 110.45 crore in the same quarter last fiscal.
During the quarter, the company paid interest and finance charges of Rs 105.80 crore, up 143.49 per cent from last fiscal.
Yesterday, shares of GTL Infrastructure closed at Rs 12.56 on the BSE, down 2.86 per cent from previous close.
