Indee.tv, which provides a secure streaming platform for film and TV studios, has raised about ₹3.35 crore ($500,000) from Kalaari Capital’s Kstart.
It will use the money to hire a larger technology team in India to focus on product development and a sales team in the US, according to its founder Sharan Reddy.
Last year, Reddy said, the company grew 3.5 times in paid usage and signed on clients such as 20{+t}{+h} Century Fox, IM Global and Endgame Entertainment on “our way to being profitable by the end of the year.” Indee charges a monthly subscription in the standard SaaS model, starting at $49 a month and going up to thousands of dollars for custom enterprise plans.
Based in Bengaluru, most of Indee’s customers are US- and Europe-based production and entertainment sales companies. It is having a growing base in Asia also.
