Info Edge (India) Ltd, the parent company of recruitment platform Naukri.com and real-estate portal 99acres.com, reported a 24.1 per cent increase in profit after tax to Rs 31.78 crore for the first quarter of the fiscal 2012-13, against Rs 25.61 crore for the same quarter last year.
Mr Ambarish Raghuvanshi, Chief Financial Officer and Director of Info Edge, said, “On a year-on-year basis the financial results reflect the strong position in the main market”.
At Rs 105.98 crore, the company’s net sales also rose by 22.3 per cent for quarter ended June 30, 2012, compared to Rs 86.66 crore in the year-ago period, a company release said.
However, Mr Raghuvanshi added that the slowdown in the economy as well as sluggish recruitment activity is likely to hit the company in the coming quarters.
Further, the company’s revenue from its recruitment solutions vertical grew at just 19 per cent, while the real estate vertical grew by 47 per cent, the release added.
