Hong Kong listed mobile phone maker Coolpad saw half a million (5 lakh) product registrations within the first 72 hrs of its exclusive launch on e-tailer Amazon, its CEO, Syed Tajuddin, said here on Thursday.
Coolpad launched its Coolpad Note 3 device on Amazon in October.
"Within the first 72 hours of our launch, there were half a million product registrations," he said.
New model(s) - mobiles - are expected to be launched "next quarter" onwards (January - March).
The Shenzhen headquartered company has five assembly units in China.
It has recently announced a partnership with Videocon to manufacture smartphones in India. At least 5 lakh devices are expected to be produced from Videocon's Maharashtra facility soon, sources said.
