Microsoft Devices has launched Lumia 530, touted as the most affordable Lumia to date, in India. The dual SIM handset is priced at Rs 7,349 and will be available from Thursday.

The handset comes with changeable cover shells in bright orange, bright green and stylish neutrals such as dark grey and white, the company said in a statement.

“The affordable smartphone segment is growing exponentially, driven primarily by youth who are constantly looking out for smartphones with power-packed features at affordable prices,” said Viral Oza, Director-Marketing, Nokia India, a subsidiary of Microsoft Mobiles Oy.

“Lumia 530 builds on the legacy and success of Lumia 520 and will help us consolidate our position in this segment further,” Oza added.

The Lumia 530 is being shipped with the latest version of Windows Phone 8.1 including one-swipe notifications from Action Center and a fast Word Flow keyboard.

The Lumia 530 comes with a range of special offers.

Snapdeal is 0ffering Rs 3,000 off for online shoppers using Snapdeal’s application on Lumia 530, while they also stand to win six free movie tickets from BookMyShow when they book seats to any show through the app.

Additionally, Airtel pre-paid users will get 500 MB of 3G Internet free for two months, it said.
