MosChip Semiconductor Technology, a semiconductor and Internet of Things technology company, will acquire four companies — Californi-based Gigacom Semiconductor, Gigacom Semiconductor, FirstPass Semiconductors and Institute of Silicon Systems, a company release said.
The company said it has approved definitive agreements or arrangements for the acquisition of four companies, three from India and one from the USA.
The firm named Venkata Sudhakar Simhadri as the Chief Executive Officer with effect from 24 July 2018.
“The acquisition helps in recruiting and grooming talent pool along with revenues. These acquisitions will help us add nearly 250 engineers,” Ram Reddy, Founder Director of MosChip, said.
Gigacom Semiconductor is focussed on IP development and licensing apart from Mixed Signal Design Services. It has customers in the US and India.
