IT firm CA Technologies on Tuesday launched a new version of its infrastructure management solution, which will help companies improve quality of service at lower cost.
“The new version of CA Infrastructure Management (CA IM) solution translates volumes of disparate data into actionable insight on a unified platform, which helps customers cost effectively improve service quality,” CA Technologies Vice President (Service Assurance - Asia Pacific) Stephen Miles told reporters here.
He added that the solution gains significance as trends like Cloud, Bring Your Own Device (BYOD), consumerisation of IT, and Big Data are increasingly becoming part of the IT infrastructure of companies.
IM involves management of systems, network and storage among other functions and comprises about 5-10 per cent of the software budgets of companies. Some of the leading players in the segment besides CA Technologies include HP, IBM and Microsoft.
“CIOs (chief information officers) are realising the need for robust IT infrastructure to deliver business results on time. CA IM resolves service issues by 25 times faster at around less than 50 per cent of total cost,” he said.
CA Technologies’ clients for the previous version includes some of the top global banks and telecommunications companies globally.
“With the new version, we are targeting telcos, financial institutions, large corporates and managed service providers as the solution will help them deliver services in an efficient and cost effective manner,” CA Technologies India Vice President Sunil Mangalore said.
CA IM provides customers converged management of application and infrastructure management, networks and analytics of data.
