The designated court has posted its orders on the bail petition filed by B Ramalinga Raju, the former Chairman of Satyam Computer Services, and seven others in the multi-crore fraud case for August 4.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has opposed grant of bail and asked the court not to release the accused during the crucial stage of investigation.
The accused moved the designated court set up to take up the trial a day after the deadline (July 31) set by Supreme Court for completing the trial by the special court. The apex court had observed in October 2010 that the accused could seek bail if the trial was delayed (beyond the deadline).
While Mr Raju and six others filed the petition in the designated court, Mr Prabhakar Gupta, who headed the internal audit team at the erstwhile Satyam, moved the High Court. The high court, however, asked the latter to approach the designated court.
