Tech Mahindra will dish out wage hikes to the tune of 8 per cent this fiscal, a top company official said. However, the payout will happen only in January next year.
“The wage hikes will happen in Q4 as we are in the process of synchronising the HR policies of the two companies (Tech Mahindra and the former Mahindra Satyam). We see opportunities to improve utilisation,” said C.P. Gurnani, Managing Director.
At the end of Q1, the company’s total headcount stood at 83, 063.
Separately, Milind Kulkarni, Chief Financial Officer, said the company had applied for around1,300 H1B visas this year. “We have filed 40 per cent more H1B visas this year compared to last year,” he said.
H1-B visas belong to the non-immigrant category and are valid for three years.
