Micro-blogging Website Twitter has appointed Parminder Singh as the Managing Director of Asia, North Africa and India.
Singh has worked at Google as Managing Director – display solution sales for Asia Pacific region for five years. With Twitter handle @parrysingh, he tweeted saying, “Joining Twitter as Managing Director of Southeast Asia/MENA/India. Excited!”
He is the third person to join Twitter from Google over the last one year after Rishi Jaitly and Shailesh Rao, both hired in November last year.
Jaitly was a part of Google India’s initial policy team under Rao who was Managing Director Media & Platforms at Google Asia-Pacific. Rao now heads Twitter’s International Operations, and Jaitly reports to him.
