Unisys India has announced the results of Cloud 20/20 Version 2.0, an online technical paper contest. Around 2,300 students from 1,000 educational institutes, including the IITs, Bangalore's IIIT-B and BITS Pilani participated. They contributed papers on areas such as cloud computing, server virtualisation and security in the cloud. Unisys announced the contest results at a day-long event that saw participation from industry veterans like Mr Ashok Soota, Executive Chairman, MindTree.

Three papers were awarded prizes and Unisys has also decided to offer them internship opportunities. Mr Bob Supnik, Vice-President, Engineering and Supply Chain, Unisys Technology, Consulting and Integration Solutions, said, “The winning papers present fresh ideas and perspectives that can make major contributions to advance cloud computing. We see cloud computing as one of the key disruptive technology trends in 2011. Over the next 12 months, Unisys expects organisations to accelerate from pilots to production, with private clouds leading the way. This makes cloud computing a key area of focus for India's talent pool.”
