Physical rubber prices finished firm on Saturday. Sheet rubber improved to Rs.149.50 (148.50) a kg according to traders. The grade firmed up to Rs.149.00 (148.00) and Rs.146.00 (145.00) per kg respectively as reported by the Rubber Board and dealers. The trend was mixed and volume low.
In futures, the March contracts closed at Rs.148.00 (147.52), April at Rs.153.05 (153.24), May at Rs.156.00 (156.60), June at Rs.159.60 (157.97) and July at Rs.158.35 (158.44) per kg on National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).
The spot rubber rates per kg were:
RSS-4: 149.50 (148.50)
RSS-5: 146.00 (145.00)
Ungraded: 143.50 (143.50)
ISNR 20: 143.00 (143.00)
and
Latex 60%: 111.00 (111.00)
