Spot pepper was easier on Thursday on selling pressure from imported material at lower rates. Ten tonnes of imported pepper were traded on the terminal market at ₹420 a kg.
Spot prices declined further by ₹200 a quintal to close at ₹42,400 (ungarbled) and ₹44,400 (garbled) a quintal. Indian export prices were at $7,100 a tonne c&f for Europe and $7,350 a tonne c&f for the US.
