Sluggish trend in chana continued on higher supplies. On Tuesday, chana (kanta) in Indore mandis declined to ₹3,750-3,800 a quintal, while chana (Madhya Pradesh) ruled at ₹3,700. As the arrival of new crop is expected soon, bearish sentiment in chana is likely to continue in the coming days, said Sanjay Agrawal, a trader. Chana dal ruled steady with chana dal (average) being quoted at ₹5,000-5,100, chana dal (medium) at ₹5,100-5,200, while chana dal (bold) ruled at ₹5,300-5,400 a quintal respectively.
