Spot pepper lost ₹3,400 a quintal in a month following availability of cheap imported pepper trade sources told Business Line . On the terminal market, only three tonnes were traded at ₹370/kg.
Spot prices fell by ₹300 a quintal to ₹38,700 (ungarbled) and ₹40,700 (garbled). Export prices were at $6,575 a tonne c&f for Europe and $6,825 for the US.
