Spot pepper prices on Friday slipped on availability of cheap imported pepper. On the terminal market 21 tonnes of pepper mostly imported stuff were traded at ₹421-430 a kg. Spot prices dropped by ₹100 a quintal to close at ₹43,200 (ungarbled) and ₹45,200 (garbled) a quintal. Indian export prices were at $7,200 a tonne c&f for Europe and $7,450 a tonne c&f for the US.
