Raghavendra Gupta, CEO of Vijayshree Ltd, was re-elected as Chairman of the Indian Jute Mills Association (IJMA) for 2014-15.
Ashutosh Bhagat, Joint Chief Executive Officer, The Naihati Jute Mills Ltd, will be the Deputy Chairman; and Sumant Poddar, Advisor, Aditya Translink Pvt Ltd, will be the Vice-Chairman.
This apart 11 others were elected as Committee members of IJMA for 2014-15. Four others were also co-opted, during the 129{+t}{+h} Annual General Meeting of the association.
The IJMA representatives also attended the Standing Advisory Committee meeting in New Delhi to highlight the issues faced by the jute industry. The representatives are said to have pointed out that compared to 2012-13 there was a decline in the use of jute material for packing last fiscal.
