Silver prices fell 0.59 per cent to Rs 36,819 per kg at the futures trade today on weak cues from the global market amid strong dollar.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in March next year was trading down by Rs 218 or 0.59 per cent to Rs 36,819 per kg in a business turnover of 1,616 lots.
In a similar fashion, the white metal for delivery in December declined by Rs 190 or 0.53 per cent to Rs 35,968 per kg in a business volume of nine lots.
Market analysts said a subdued trend in global markets as a strong dollar curbed the nd for a store of value, led to the fall in silver prices at the futures trade here.
In the international market, silver lost 0.7 per cent to $16.46 an ounce in Singapore.
