Despite a steady trend in prices of key ingredients of feed products, poultry feed products increased by Rs 30-40 for a 30-kg and 50-kg bag, on Wednesday.
Subhash Sharma, Financial Head, Sarvottam Poultry Feed Supply Centre Pvt Ltd, told Business Line that the prices of poultry feed products were unchanged .
Soyameal prices continued to rule around its previous level and quoted at Rs 4,200-4,250 a quintal on Wednesday.
While, after witnessing an uptrend last week, bajra witnessed some correction and dropped by Rs 20 to Rs 1,280.
Maize ruled flat and quoted at Rs 1,510; DCP went for Rs 42 a kg, while fish oil quoted at Rs 96 a litre. Bajra prices are likely to drop further in upcoming days, said Sharma.
Broiler concentrates feed went up by Rs 40 and quoted at Rs 2,050 for a 50-kg bag while broiler starter mash was Rs 30 up from previous level at Rs 1,520. Broiler pre-starter concentrate 30 per cent increased by Rs 40 and sold at Rs 1,740 for a 30-kg bag; layer concentrate increased by Rs 40 and quoted at Rs 1,570 for a 50-kg bag.
Pre-lay mash was up Rs 30 at Rs 1,080, while broiler finisher sold Rs 40 up at Rs 1,510 for a 50-kg bag.
Meanwhile, egg dropped marginally on reduced off-take, on Wednesday. Egg price was down by 8 paise to Rs 3.42.
On the other hand, broiler and chicken managed to maintain their previous levels on account of sluggish demand; broiler was at Rs 70-72 a kg, while chick went for Rs 12.
