Dalmia Bharat Enterprises, the demerged entity of Dalmia Cement (Bharat), made its debut on the bourses on Thursday on a volatile note. The stock opened at Rs 190 on the NSE and during the intraday, it touched a high of Rs 227 and a low of Rs 150. The stock closed at Rs 220.
On the BSE, the stock opened at Rs 220, touched a high of Rs 235 and a low of Rs 106, before closing at Rs 220.9.
A total of 76.7 lakh shares of Dalmia Bharat Enterprises were traded on both the BSE and NSE making for a total turnover of Rs 16.25 crore.
Dalmia Cement (Bharat) had demerged its sugar and cement, power, refractories and other businesses into two units. Dalmia Bharat Enterprises will be managing cement, power, refractories and other businesses.
Dalmia Bharat Sugar and Industries that has become a pure play sugar firm now, was down 8.47 per cent at Rs 30.25 on Thursday on the NSE.
