The rupee closed 38 paise stronger at 63.7350 to a dollar on Thursday as the greenback weakened globally due to continued uncertainty about the timing of the interest rate hike by the US Fed. Selling of dollars by exporters also added to the strength of the domestic currency. Opening stronger at 63.90 per dollar against the previous close of 64.1150, the rupee touched an intraday high and low of 63.70 and 63.92, respectively.
