Gold futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange opened lower at Rs 29,555 per 10 grams on Tuesday against the previous close of Rs 29,588.
It made a high of Rs 29,555 and low of Rs 29,458. It was trading down 0.37 per cent at Rs 29,480 at 1.35 p.m.
At Comex, the yellow metal for April delivery was down by $4 at $1,601 a troy ounce at 1.35 p.m.
