Gold futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange opened lower at Rs 29,551 per 10 grams on Thursday against the previous close of Rs 29,579.
It made a high of Rs 29,551 and low of Rs 29,263. It was trading down by 0.36 per cent at Rs 29,472 at 12.55 p.m.
In Comex, the yellow metal for April delivery was down by $9 at $1,569 a troy ounce at 12.55 p.m.
