Shares of Bajaj Auto Ltd scaled a new peak in the markets today with the stock crossing the Rs 2,000-mark to touch fresh 52-week high in both the exchanges today.
Since the beginning of the year, the stock has gained about Rs 600 or 42 per cent.
On the NSE, the share gained Rs 43.30 to trade at Rs 2,004.35 after hitting a 52 week high of Rs 2,010. The stock had opened lower at Rs 1,937.70 compared to the previous close of Rs 1,961.05 but rose rapidly to a new yearly high before easing. The trading volume was a high 3.17 lakh on the NSE.
On the BSE, the stock was trading at Rs 2,002.65, a gain of Rs 43.40 after reaching a yearly high of Rs 2,008.50. In about a month, the stock has rallied from a low of Rs 1,800 to the current levels. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 1,410 on January 16 this year but has been steadily gaining aided by the launch of new models.
