Financial sector stocks were the flavour of the day on both the BSE and NSE on Wednesday.
The IDFC stock built on its morning gains to vault nearly 9 per cent by late trading on the NSE. At 2.55 pm it held gains of 8.73 per cent to quote at ₹163.10. This was up Rs 33.10 on its previous close at ₹150.
ICICI Bank was trading at ₹1,460.90, up 4.75 per cent on its overnight close of ₹1,394.60.
DLF also extended its morning gains. It was up 4.74 per cent at ₹223.20 as against ₹213.10 at close yesterday.
Hindalco Industries made further ground to rise 3.52 per cent at ₹180.85. The stock had closed the previous session at ₹174.70.
Axis Bank traded up 2.95 per cent. It was quoting at ₹1,955 as against ₹1,898.90 at close on Tuesday.
