Investor Mr Rakesh Jhunjhunwala has increased stake in Viceroy Hotels to 13.45 per cent with the acquisition of an additional 3.45 per cent shares from open market.
Mr Jhunjhunwala, who earlier owned a little 10.02 per cent stake in the Hyderabad-based hospitality firm, informed the exchanges that he has acquired 14.57 lakh shares.
Viceroy owns a chain of premium properties in Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore and Vizag. They are managed by brands such as Marriott and Renaissance.
There have been number of intimations to the stock exchanges about shares being traded. These include that of PH Infotech, Cholamandalam Investments among others.
The company scrip closed the day with a gain of 4.70 per cent at Rs 16.70.
