Mr Sudarshan Venu, son of Mr Venu Srinivasan, Chairman and Managing Director, Sundaram-Clayton, has joined the board the company as ‘additional director'.
Announcing this, a company press release said that Mr Sudarshan Venu holds a Masters degree in International Technology Management from the University of Warwick, UK.
“Sudarshan Venu is a graduate with Honours from the Jerome Fisher Programme in Management and Technology at the University of Pennsylvania, US, (and has) also obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the School of Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Economics, both from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania,” it said.
He has undergone training in the Die Casting Division of SCL and in TVS Motor Company Ltd, the release said.
Mr Sudarshan's sister and the daughter-in-law of Infosys founder Mr Narayana Murthy, Ms Lakshmi Srinivasan, joined Sundaram-Clayton board in August 2009. Ms Lakshmi too is a doctorate in manufacturing management from Warwick university.
