Cement stock ACC spurted up 2.33 per cent to lead the pack on the NSE at the close on Wednesday. It ended the session at Rs 1,655.75 as against Rs 1,618 at close yesterday.
HDFC held steady to keep gains of 2.30 per cent at Rs 1,340.55 as against Rs 1,310.40 at close yesterday.
Infosys was firm but off its morning levels at the close. It edged lower to hold gains of 1.97 per cent at Rs 2,317.60 as against Rs 2,272.80 at close yesterday.
Bharti Airtel moved up further to hold gains of 1.91 per cent at Rs 348.60 as against Rs 342.05 at close overnight.
UltraTech Cement gained 1.82 per cent to quote at Rs 3,042.85. The share had closed the overnight session at Rs 2,988.60.
