US private equity firm Apax Partners has transferred its entire 12.67 per cent holding in Apollo Hospitals Enterprise to its group affiliate HSTN Acquisition via market deals worth Rs 1,033 crore in an inter se transfer.
Apollo Hospitals has informed the stock exchanges that Apax Partners transferred its entire holding in the company consisting of 1.7-crore equity shares held by Apax Mauritius FDI One Ltd (1.4 crore equity shares) and Apax Mauritius FII Ltd (2.9 crore equity shares) to HSTN Acquisition (FII) Ltd. The trade price was Rs 606.6 a share.
Apollo Hospitals on Tuesday clarified that this represents an inter-se transfer of funds as advised by Apax Partners and was done through block deal transactions on the stock exchange.
HSTN Acquisition will hold 1.3 crore shares (representing 10 per cent of the company's total shareholding) as direct equity investment in the company and the balance in the form Global Depositary Receipts.
