The misery of auto sector stocks does not seem to be ebbing with major auto stocks reeling under selling pressure even as the overall market was recovering from the day’s lows around 12.30 pm.
Bajaj Auto, Hero Motocorp and Maruti Suzuki were particularly hit, though other major counters were also in the red among the BSE auto index stocks.
Bajaj Auto was trading at Rs 1,486.75, a loss of Rs 20.95, Hero Motocorp was down by Rs 35.70 at Rs 1,825.05 and Maruti Suzuki shed Rs 26.50 to trade at Rs 1,126.70.
But other big names like Tata Motors and M&M escaped with minor bruises.
While M&M was trading at Rs 638.55, a loss of mere 5 paise, Tata Motors was down by Rs 2.55 at Rs 262.25 and Ashok Leyland shed 30 paise to trade at Rs 24.40.
