Hindalco Industries and Vedanta led the pack on the NSE as well, notching up gains of over 2 per cent. At 11.30 am Hindalco Industries held gains of 2.16 per cent at Rs 120.75 as against Rs 118.20 at close yesterday.
Vedanta rode up 2.12 per cent to quote at Rs 180.80. The share had ended the previous session at Rs 177.05.
Axis Bank traded up 1.39 per cent at Rs 561.30 as against Rs 553.60 at close yesterday.
Hindustan Unilever advanced 1.19 per cent at Rs 821.95 as against Rs 812.25 at close overnight.
ICICI Bank was up 1.18 per cent at Rs 286.50 as against Rs 283.15 at close on Monday.
